Supporting Businesses in San Ramon: The Power of Local Connections
This month, I’ve been thinking about the role of small and local businesses in our community. Inspired by a chat between CO Editor-in-Chief Jeanette Mulvey and Neil Bradley, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Chief Policy Officer, I started thinking about how San Ramon’s business landscape thrives on the balance of our small and large businesses.
Small businesses are essential, playing a crucial role as suppliers, vendors, and service providers to our larger corporations. Just as a local restaurant might become a favorite lunch spot for employees at Bishop Ranch, or a nearby repair service might be called upon to fix the HVAC system at a corporate office, these relationships fuel economic growth and create strong bonds within our community.
By working together and valuing each other’s unique strengths, we can drive innovation, encourage growth, and keep San Ramon thriving for everyone!

Message from Danielle: What is a Chamber of Commerce?
A Chamber of Commerce is more than just a business group; it’s the community’s hub for change and collaboration! In my two months here, I’ve connected with more local businesses than in my 26 years as a resident. I’m surrounded by people who care deeply about this community and are committed to making a difference. They’ve shown me what’s possible when people come together and support one another.
The chamber focuses on supporting both businesses and PEOPLE, from celebrating new openings to advocating for policies that benefit our city. It’s a place where everyone, whether a small business owner, a corporate leader, or a resident, can come together to create something extraordinary. Think about what it would mean to you to be surrounded by people who want you to succeed.
We also prioritize marketing, helping members boost their events, jobs, products, and services. Be sure to let me know when you have news to share, and I will include it in our next newsletter. I love brainstorming ideas and goals with our members. We are truly in the business of business, and our number one priority is our members!
Looking ahead, we have exciting plans for 2025, and I invite you to join us in making our community thrive. Let’s be a part of something greater together! – Danielle
