New Year = New Employee Laws
Thank you to Infinity Law Group for their Fourth Friday Roundtable presentation, “Employee Law Changes That Put Small Businesses at Risk.” They covered several key topics:

- The Workplace Know Your Rights Act requires businesses to provide emergency contact forms by February 1, with penalties of up to $10,000 per employee per day.
- The Stay or Pay Contracts Law prevents employers from recovering training costs or signing bonuses if an employee leaves.
- The session also underscored the importance of updating employee handbooks and conducting regular audits to maintain compliance.
