East Bay Business Symposium – September

All photos from this event were taken by Jennifer R. Klein with PHOTOS IN A FLASH

The early morning panel was a hit with those individuals and companies who want to work with the larger companies like Chevron, AT&T, etc. The panelists provided practical information on how to “get in the door and the procedures to follow.” We have additional handouts in the Chamber office if you missed this presentation.

Lunch attendees were treated to an over the top presentation on the importance of branding and exemplary customer service by Scott Deming. He was informative, poignant and down right hilarious.

In words of the Chamber Pres./CEO Carolyn Degnan:”I was watching the faces of the audience during his talk and had just as much fun watching the reactions to his comments as I did listening to him. Scott has worked with many Fortune 500 Companies and his message is pretty consistent—–you will never know how much a bad experience with your company’s service will harm you—-you never get a second chance to do it right!”

We had over 50 exhibitors providing information about their companies and services. One of the more innovative ideas was provided by Synergy Corp.—-they had a massage therapist with their booth to help ease the stress and kinks of those who were in attendance. Way to think out of the box!

Thank you to Kathy Gailey, Event Director and her committee for a wonderful event.
